All seven abducted policemen in K-P's Bannu recovered safely

The officers were taken by armed men from a remote mountainous check post in the Ahmedzai Wazir sub-division

All seven policemen abducted in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district have been safely recovered, confirmed the District Police Officer (DPO), reported Express News on Tuesday.

The officers, taken by armed men from a remote mountainous check post in the Ahmedzai Wazir sub-division, were freed through the coordinated efforts of local elders and police forces, according to DPO Ziauddin.

“Thanks to the joint efforts, we successfully secured the release of our personnel without incident,” said Ziauddin, noting that the kidnappers initially overpowered the Rocha check post, seizing control and taking the officers and their weapons.

The recovered policemen are reportedly safe and have returned to Bannu, bringing a sense of relief to the local police and community. Further investigations are underway.
