Recently, a claim went viral online alleging that Sean “Diddy” Combs collapsed in a courtroom after hearing about his supposed life sentence.

The rumor originated from TikTok user @wadewilsoncri, who shared a four-part video series on November 11 titled: “Breaking News: Diddy passed out in court after hearing his life sentence!”

The TikTok videos quickly gained traction, amassing over 413,403 views within a week. The cover image featured a collage of a man in an orange prison jumpsuit sitting in a wheelchair inside a courtroom, alongside another image of the same man seemingly passed out on the courtroom floor.

However, the claim has been confirmed as false. The trial for Diddy’s highly publicized federal case has not yet started, making it impossible for him to have been sentenced to life, as no conviction has been reached.

Additionally, federal courts do not permit cameras or other electronics inside, so none of Diddy’s court appearances have been livestreamed. While some courtroom sketches from his hearings have gone viral, they were created by artists allowed to attend and depict the proceedings for public and media outlets.

No official reports have corroborated the claim, and the four-part TikTok video series fails to provide evidence to support it. Instead, the videos delve into unrelated aspects of Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles.

On the same day the fake TikTok series went viral, a similar video appeared on the YouTube channel Uncover Discovery.

The 40-minute video, titled: “BREAKING: Diddy PASSED OUT in Court After Hearing His Life Sentence!”

The YouTube video discussed Diddy’s federal case but did not substantiate the collapse claim. Instead, it included news clips, articles, interviews with Diddy’s legal team and prosecutors, and footage from his past appearances on talk shows and red carpet events. The video also featured a similar cover image as the TikTok series.

Despite garnering over 21,305 views, the YouTube video was also proven to be fabricated, as confirmed in its description.
