Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen in heated clash at Casa Cipriani club after wife insulted
Donald Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, reportedly got into a heated shouting match at the exclusive Casa Cipriani months ago after another guest made an offensive remark about his wife.
According to witnesses, the former fixer for the President-elect was enjoying a quiet drink with his wife, Laura Shusterman, on the terrace of the private club when a guest of another member began heckling them, as reported by Page Six.
“Some mafia-type guy yelled something to the effect of, ‘Your wife must be a whore because she is sleeping with a rat,’” said a witness.
Another source claimed Cohen “lost his s–t” defending his wife.
“He went crazy on the guy,” the source said. “They were very loudly screaming at each other. A manager held them back before it got physical.”
It’s reported that after the confrontation subsided, Cohen was escorted out of the club.
Cohen responded to the claims, stating: “The scenario as you’ve described is factually inaccurate.”
However, he declined to provide additional details or clarification.
A representative for Cipriani declined to comment, citing the club’s policy against discussing member-related incidents.
This isn’t the first time Cohen has been called a "rat" at the upscale establishment.
In May, Page Six reported that the disbarred lawyer, who had recently testified as a key witness in Donald Trump’s hush money trial, had a run-in with a group of MAGA supporters at the club, one of whom reportedly called him “a rat.”
A source revealed that the group did not consider Cohen a “welcomed individual” and that one Trump supporter even displayed a red T-shirt with the number “47,” implying Trump’s potential reelection.
Cohen refrained from engaging during that incident and simply left, sources said.
It is unclear if the recent confrontation involved the same individual.
Cohen previously served prison time for campaign-finance violations, tax fraud, and bank fraud and admitted to lying to congressional committees.
He has since written a memoir titled Disloyal: A Memoir and hosts a podcast called Mea Culpa.
