Robbery: Security guard shot dead

HYDERABAD: A security guard, Abrar-ul-Haq, was shot dead and two others, Rubina and Deen Mohammad, were injured in Resham Bazaar. According to the DPO, Ahmed Qureshi, they had come from Tandojam to shop but three motorcyclists tried to snatch Rubina’s purse. They opened fire when Rubina put up a resistance, shooting the security guard. He died on the way to Civil hospital. According to the police, the men had been following them from the bank where they had encashed prize bonds worth Rs39,000. The attackers fled with the money.
