ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad administration has imposed Section 144, banning all public gatherings, rallies and processions in the federal capital for two months.

The notification, issued on Monday by the additional deputy commissioner, cites security concerns as the primary reason for the restrictions.

According to the notification, the district administration received information that certain groups were planning to organise rallies and processions in Islamabad.

It stated that such activities could potentially disrupt law and order given the prevailing security situation.
