Excise official reported missing

An Excise Inspector, Sheikh Sikandar, the son of a former judge, was reported missing in Dera Ghazi Khan on Monday.

On the complaint of his brother, a case of kidnapping was registered with Gadai police station.

Mubasherul Zaman gave an application to Gadai police station that he was performing his duty as ASI on the ring road.

His elder brother Sheikh Sikandarul Zaman works as Inspector in DG Khan Excise Office and resides in NDVH. He left home at 10pm last night by car. When he did not return, several calls were made to the mobile phone he was using which kept going off.

On the information of the family members Rehan Akbar and Javed came to Dera Ghazi Khan and searched for him but he was not found.

The brother of the victim claimed that unidentified persons kidnapped Sheikh Sikandarul Zaman.

Gadai police station registered the statement of the plaintiff and started legal proceedings.

When contacted, District Police Officer Syed Ali said that three teams have been formed to recover the abducted man and and work is going on keeping in view various aspects and efforts are being made to recover the victim soon.
