Man stabs brotherto death
Islamabad witnessed a surge in street crime, with 11 incidents reported within 24 hours.
In the Khanna police station area, a motorcycle was stolen, while bandits looted cash and jewellery in the Golra area, injuring a civilian.
Armed robberies were also reported in the Noon, Ramna, and Karachi Company police jurisdictions, where mobile phones and cash were snatched at gunpoint. Additionally, unknown thieves looted two homes in the Khanna and Noon areas.
On Monday, a family dispute over a mobile phone turned deadly within the jurisdiction of the Lohi Bher police station in Islamabad when a man stabbed his brother to death, leaving his other brother critically injured.
According to the police, Muhammad Ali fatally attacked his elder brother, Muhammad Hussain Raza, and seriously injured his younger brother, Muhammad Zeeshan, during a heated argument. The injured man is currently in critical condition at PIMS Hospital, they said.
The police completed medico-legal formalities and handed over the deceased's body to his family.
A case has been registered against Muhammad Ali under Sections 302 and 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code, following a complaint by the brothers' father.
