Mishi Khan cautions girls about rising risk of 'leaked videos' trend
Famous Pakistani actress and host Mishi Khan has spoken out against the growing trend of 'leaked videos' being circulating on social media.
In a recent video statement shared on her social media platforms, Mishi Khan expressed her concern over the alarming rise of such incidents, calling it a "worrying" trend.
She emphasised the severity of the issue, stating, "It is deeply saddening that the trend of leaking private videos is increasing. Those responsible for this act will not escape divine retribution."
Mishi Khan urged girls to be cautious and refrain from sharing personal images or videos with anyone, even their fiancés, as it often leads to blackmail and, in extreme cases, suicidal attempts.
The actress also highlighted the disturbing recent cases, including the tragic example of a young woman from Gilgit-Baltistan and other victims who have faced online trolling after their private videos were circulating online.
Mishi Khan’s message was a plea for women to protect themselves from potential harm.
While some fans supported her views, others offered advice to women to remain vigilant online.
Recently, several public figures, including Mathira, TikTok star Minahil Malik, and actress Imsha Rehman, have been targeted online with videos circulating online, that are claimed to be theirs. All the targeted figures have denied any links to the circulating videos.
