Dengue alert: Swimming pools to close for month
Over 200 cases have been registered so far in the city

Karachi DCO Muhammad Hussain Syed has ordered all swimming pools in private entertainment places to close for a month to prevent the spread of the dengue virus. Over 200 cases have been registered so far in the city, he said. The city will be fumigated with disinfectants in three shifts with 25 vehicles. The city government has stocked up on medicines and fuel for the campaign. According to the health department and dengue surveillance cell, at least two people have died so far while many others are under treatment across the province.
