Legendary actor William Shatner voiced his fears about climate change following Donald Trump’s presidential election victory.

During an appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random Podcast, the former Star Trek star highlighted the urgency of addressing global warming, emphasizing that four years of inaction could have irreversible consequences.

“The thing that worries me the most is global warming,” Shatner told Maher. “You can’t lose four years of progress when storms that should happen once in a thousand years now occur yearly.” The conversation touched on critical environmental issues, including the growing Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which Maher noted has expanded to the size of Alaska. Both criticized the lack of attention given to these issues during political campaigns.

Shatner's remarks come as Trump’s victory raises questions about the future of environmental policies. The actor’s concerns reflect growing alarm among climate advocates who fear stagnation in addressing the escalating climate crisis.
