Special anti-one-wheeling squads have been deployed by the City Traffic Police. Chief Traffic Officer, Farhan Aslam, instructed all circle officers to self-monitor the action against the sector wise dangerous driving style.
On this occasion, the CTO further said that inten-sive operations are being implemented by the City Traffic Police under the supervision of Additional Inspector General of Police Traffic Punjab Mirza Faran Baig and City Police Officer DIG Kamran Adil.
The CTO further said that cases are also being registered against those doing one-wheeling.
Therefore, a special monitoring cell was also formed in this regard and traffic control was also ordered to be active.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Mushtaq, a 65-year-old mentally disabled individual from 133 Rabb Kamalpur, was killed by a bus driven by Sarfaraz on the motorway near Chak No. 129, Tibbi Chakira. Muhammad Mushtaq was walking on the motorway when the accident occurred.
Separately, 21-year-old Hasnain, a resident of Kartar Wala, was crushed to death by a speeding truck while crossing the road near Pul Abdullah. Following that, many people protested and blocked Samundari Road under the leadership of the de-ceased's brother, Imran.
The citizens faced difficulties due to the protest. Police officers promptly intervened, engaging with the family and assuring them of swift ac-tion. Following these assurances, the protesters dispersed.
Police handed over the bodies to their heirs after completing legal procedures and started hunting for the drivers responsible for the accidents.
