Rumors about Jennifer Lopez fleeing the United States after receiving threats from Diddy began circulating when the hip-hop mogul was arrested in September 2024.

Videos have surfaced online showing the singer-actress leaving the country hurriedly, suggesting she was escaping due to threats from her former boyfriend. However, these claims lack any substantial evidence and have been debunked as false.

According to Snopes, the rumors originated from YouTube channels like Celeb Lounge, Pop Cult, and Just In, which shared videos with captions alleging Lopez fled due to Diddy's threats.

On November 6, a video uploaded by DownTown claimed Jennifer Lopez "left the country, slipping away quietly with very little information about her destination."

In reality, the actress had traveled to London for the screening of her upcoming movie, Unstoppable, where she was photographed on the red carpet on November 5. She returned to the U.S. three days later to attend the LA premiere of Wicked.

The DownTown video also referenced an alleged FBI report stating that Lopez's life was in danger, adding: "New evidence has emerged that has caught the FBI's attention, leading them to investigate any potential danger posed to Jennifer Lopez... While the specifics of this investigation remain classified, it's clear that whatever Diddy's threats might be, they're serious enough for federal authorities to get involved."

However, no evidence of such a federal report has been presented in any of these videos. Despite the lack of proof, the DownTown video has amassed over 28,900 views.

Jennifer Lopez and Diddy dated in the late 90s, from 1991 to 2001.

While they broke up in 2001, Lopez reflected on their relationship in the July 2003 issue of VIBE magazine, saying she was "totally crying, crazy, going nuts" during their time together, which left her "whole life in a tailspin."
