Before the semifinalists take the stage at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico, a series of preliminary events will allow the jury and voters to select their favorites. These events will determine the 30 women who will compete in the final on November 16.

This year’s pageant will feature 130 participants from across the globe, all aiming to succeed Sheynnis Palacios as Miss Universe 2024.

The organization will host several preliminary events before the grand finale. These include the national costume parade and the preliminary competition, both scheduled for Thursday, November 14, at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.

Unlike previous editions, there will be no gala runway show during the preliminary phase. This change aims to highlight the contestants' national costume and swimwear presentations.
