Glenn Ennis, the actor and stuntman behind the infamous bear attack on Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant, had some choice words for the alleged California fraudsters who staged a bear attack on luxury vehicles.

Ennis, whose performance in a realistic bear costume (with CGI enhancements) wowed audiences, critiqued the suspects’ approach, noting that their bear costume looked cheap and their movements were completely off.

According to TMZ, California officials recently charged four Los Angeles residents with insurance fraud after they submitted videos showing what they claimed was a bear damaging high-end cars. However, a closer look revealed a person in a low-quality bear costume, prompting Ennis to joke, "Bears don’t move on their knees.” Known for his own extensive bear movement research, Ennis explained that if the fraudsters had taken notes from The Revenant, they might have fooled a few more people—though he quickly added he’d never use his "bear powers" for criminal activity.

The fraud attempt, which aimed to net $140,000, ultimately fell apart under expert analysis, including reviews by biologists. The four suspects now face serious legal consequences.
