Eva Longoria, the Flamin’ Hot director, has revealed that she and her family have settled in both Mexico and Spain, departing from Los Angeles due to concerns over escalating issues in the U.S.

In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Longoria, 49, detailed her decision, explaining, “The vibe was different,” and noting that the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted California’s struggles with homelessness and high taxes. Though she acknowledges her privilege in having the option to live abroad, she voiced empathy for those unable to leave, calling the U.S. “dystopian.”

Longoria has long been a vocal activist, recently campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris and championing Latino voters' rights.

Discussing her worries about a potential second term for President Trump, she expressed fears that his policies could lead to a “scary” America. Beyond her political work, Longoria continues to challenge the entertainment industry, sharing her insights into the lack of opportunities for women behind the camera and her commitment to paving the way for future female filmmakers.
