A rumor recently circulated online claiming that Donald Trump had nominated model and TV personality Amber Rose for the role of Secretary of Education. The claim was initially shared on November 13 by YouTuber and journalist Keith Edwards on X.

The post included a picture of Amber Rose alongside a “Statement from President Donald J Trump.” It was captioned: “BREAKING: Donald Trump has nominated Amber Rose for Secretary of Education.”

The tweet quickly went viral, amassing 616,400 views in less than 24 hours.

However, this claim has since been debunked. Trump has not announced Amber Rose as Secretary of Education, and no one has yet been named for the position.

In the past, Amber Rose voiced her support for Trump during the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July 2024. Additionally, on November 4, the day before the election, she shared on X that she had placed a substantial $15,000 bet on Trump winning the presidency.

On Wednesday, another social media post emerged, claiming Trump had selected Amber Rose for Secretary of Education.

Liberal influencer @keithedwards shared an alleged statement from the President-elect, which read: “I am honored to announce that I have nominated Amber Rose to serve in my Cabinet as the Secretary of Education. Amber has spent her entire life advocating for the empowerment of individuals through self-confidence, education, and resilience.”

The statement further praised Amber Rose as a “true believer in American values” who would prioritize students, “reform” the education system, and bring a “fresh perspective to the Department of Education.” It also described her as a champion for an “inclusive future” with a philosophy of “Empowerment through Education.”
