Mariah Carey revealed she’s open to collaborating with pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo in a new BuzzFeed interview, where she shared insights on her upcoming music, her most underrated song, and her admiration for the Guts singer.

Discussing a potential collaboration, Carey noted it “could be fun,” adding that her daughter, a huge Rodrigo fan, inspired the idea. Carey and her twins recently attended Rodrigo's concert, where they met the young star backstage.

In the interview, Carey also highlighted her song “Clown” from her Charmbracelet album as her most underrated track, explaining, “Not everybody knows it, and I think it’s clever and pretty.” Charmbracelet, her ninth studio album, reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200, but “Clown” never charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Carey confirmed she’s currently working on new music, hinting at excitement over the project while acknowledging she needs “the time to do it.”

As she prepares for her holiday tour and new releases, Carey’s potential collaboration with Rodrigo is a tantalizing prospect for fans of both artists.
