Rumors of a romance between Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have emerged following Jackman’s recent split from his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness.

Gossip blogger Tasha Lustig highlighted the relationship in an Instagram post that quickly gained traction, revealing that Jackman had “blindsided” Furness by leaving her for his Music Man co-star. Furness, who liked the post from her private account, subtly signaled her awareness of the situation, as did her friend Amanda de Cadenet, who hinted at a positive future for Furness post-divorce.

Sources close to Us Weekly confirm that Jackman and Foster, both Broadway veterans, developed a strong connection during the show's run, with their friendship reportedly turning romantic. According to insiders, this bond was well-known within Broadway circles and ultimately influenced Jackman and Furness’s separation, announced in September 2023. Foster, who filed for divorce from Ted Griffin the day before Jackman’s home was burglarized in October, allegedly enjoyed pre-show rituals with Jackman, including private chats in her dressing room, creating a close bond that raised eyebrows.

Jackman and Furness, who were known for their enduring marriage, shared two adopted children and celebrated their 27th anniversary in April with a heartfelt message. However, sources indicate the affair rumors took a toll on Furness, who was reportedly “blindsided” and heartbroken. Despite the public fallout, Jackman and Foster are “very happy” together, though they currently live separately due to family obligations.
