A recent photo of rapper Lil Reese, shared from jail, has left fans shocked by his appearance.

The Chicago drill artist, whose real name is Tavares Taylor, posted the image on his Instagram Story on Monday, playing Lil Durk’s track ‘Love Songs 4 the Streets’ in the background. Reese has been in custody since his September arrest in Houston, facing charges of aggravated assault of a family or household member.

According to a report by TMZ, the arrest occurred after a warrant was issued for Reese. He is accused of allegedly punching and strangling an ex-girlfriend at The Pinkhouse nightclub. Reese’s attorney, Carl Moore, responded to the allegations, telling TMZ, “Mr. Taylor vehemently denies these false accusations… We look forward to his day in court.” Reese was reportedly denied bail following his arrest.

The assault case isn’t Reese’s only legal issue this year. He was previously accused of rape, but the court ultimately dismissed the case. Following this, Reese criticized the media’s coverage, calling out platforms like The Shade Room and TMZ for sharing “false information.” He took to Instagram to express frustration, urging them to report the dismissal with the same prominence. Reese also mentioned plans to retrieve bond money and other funds taken during the process.
