Gold prices see sharp decline in global and local markets

The per tola price of silver also dropped by Rs 50, reaching Rs 3,250.

There has been a significant drop in gold prices in both global and local markets.

The local bullion exchange saw the price of 24-carat gold decrease by Rs 7,000 per tola, reaching Rs 270,500 per tola. The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs 6,000, settling at Rs 231,911.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold fell by $77 per ounce, bringing the new price to $2,593 per ounce.

Meanwhile, the price of silver also saw a decline. In the local market, the price of silver per tola dropped by Rs 50, reaching Rs 3,250, while the price of 10 grams of silver decreased by Rs 42.86, bringing it down to Rs 2,786.

Yesterday in the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce dropped by $13 to reach $2670.

Meanwhile, in local bullion markets, the price of 24-carat gold per tola decreased by Rs 1300, bringing it down to Rs 277,500 per tola.

Meanwhile the Pakistani rupee saw a slight uptick against the US dollar during early trading on Tuesday, gaining 0.04% in the inter-bank market.

At 11:00 AM, the currency was valued at 277.75, marking an increase of Re0.11 from the previous day session.
