Durante Rondo recently became the center of online jokes after a viral moment from his interview with DJ Akademiks, where he misinterpreted the phrase “devil’s advocate.” 

The interview, titled 'Quando Rondo Reveals All', covered various topics, including Rondo’s reaction to recent legal troubles involving Lil Durk.

However, when DJ Akademiks used the phrase “devil’s advocate,” Rondo’s reaction was immediate and intense, as he appeared to believe Akademiks was referencing Satan.

“Bro, I ain’t gonna lie, I promise you. You even just saying that devil’s name, I want to take these microphones off and walk out that door,” Rondo said, clearly uncomfortable. “I can’t let ya slide with that. This some devilish sh*t? Why’d you put the devil name in it, buddy? Boy I’m serious. You gotta take that back. Don’t lose the devils boy.”

For those unfamiliar with the phrase, “devil’s advocate” is an idiom used to represent an opposing viewpoint, often to provoke discussion. Popular social media page @mymixtapez posted the video, which garnered close to a million views, fueling the online discussion and mockery.

The interview comes amidst a complicated legal backdrop involving Lil Durk, who, along with five associates, faces charges related to a 2022 shooting targeting Rondo’s vehicle, which resulted in the death of Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson. 

Durk and the group were charged with murder-for-hire and conspiracy to commit violent crimes, allegedly tied to the 2020 death of rapper King Von.
