SCBA expresses confidence in judges' nomination

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Monday said the decision to make Justice Aminuddin Khan head of the Supreme Court's newly formed constitution bench is commendable.
SCBA President Mian Rauf Ata noted that the legal fraternity had full confidence in the seven judges nominated for the constitution bench.
He hoped that further constitutional benches would be formed soon so that the backlog of the constitutional cases is cleared.
The SCBA president also welcomed the initiative of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi regarding case management.
It is a good idea to issue the monthly cause list and fix urgent petitions for hearing, the SCBA president added.
