Former ANP senator joins PML-N

Earlier, former Senator and ex-Information secretary of the Awami National Party (ANP), Zahid Khan, announced on Sunday his decision to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The formal induction ceremony was held in Chakdara, Lower Dir, where PML-N provincial president Engineer Amir Muqam welcomed Zahid Khan and addressed the gathering.

Muqam expressed gratitude for Zahid Khan's decision, stating that Khan's extensive political experience would be an asset to the party, both at the provincial and national levels.

During his address, Zahid Khan shared that he had previously stepped back from active politics but was drawn to join PML-N due to the dedication and hard work of central leaders, Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, and the impactful efforts of Amir Muqam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Muqam formally welcomed Khan on behalf of the party's leadership, including Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, and acknowledged the invaluable support from Khan's family and followers. Muqam noted that Khan's joining would strengthen PML-N across K-P.
