Man killed in exchange of fire over land dispute

Both the injured were shifted to the hospital where Amjad succumbed to his injuries

A man was shot dead and another was injured in a firing incident over a land dispute on Sunday.

They were shifted to the hospital while police reached the spot and took the body into custody. Saeed, a resident of 44 GB Bohar Chowk, was standing in the square outside his house where Amjad and Abid started firing at each other.

Resultantly, Muhammad Saeed was injured by a bullet in the leg and Amjad by a bullet in the stomach. Both the injured were shifted to the hospital where Amjad succumbed to his injuries. After receiving information, the police officers including DSP Samundri reached the spot. They took the body of the deceased into custody and shifted it to the hospital. Police said a former land dispute caused the firing.

Meanwhile, unidentified persons set fire to a parlour shop, as a result of which the goods were burnt to ashes.

In a case filed with the police by Ali Asghar, a resident of 74 JB, it was stated that he reached his parlor shop early in the morning and saw that unknown persons had set fire to the shop, as a result of which the wooden door was destroyed, the ceiling and goods were burnt to ashes.
