Beyoncé leads 2025 Grammy nominations with 11 nods, including album of the year
The 2025 Grammy nominations, announced Friday, highlighted an impressive lineup of top artists.
Beyoncé leads with 11 nominations for her genre-spanning album Cowboy Carter, pushing her career total to 99 Grammy nods. Other major nominees include Kendrick Lamar, Charli XCX, and Billie Eilish, each earning seven nominations. Despite Beyoncé’s unmatched record, she has yet to win the Album of the Year title.
The Album of the Year category features a diverse group, including Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n' Sweet, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, and André 3000’s flute-inspired New Blue Sun. In Record of the Year, fan favorites like The Beatles’ "Now and Then" and Kendrick Lamar’s "Not Like Us" stand alongside new pop hits from Billie Eilish and Chappell Roan.
Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and RAYE were among the Best New Artist nominees, while Chris Brown’s 11:11 landed a spot in the R&B categories, sparking some debate. The 67th annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2, 2025.
