Olivia Rodrigo’s hit song ‘Deja Vu’ was removed from a Team Trump TikTok post after the singer expressed her disapproval. The video, celebrating Trump’s recent election win, featured ‘Deja Vu’ as its soundtrack and quickly garnered over 11.6 million views. Rodrigo allegedly responded with a now-deleted comment, “ew, don’t use my sound ever again,” highlighting her discontent over her song’s association with Trump’s campaign. Fans quickly noticed the comment, sparking online support for Rodrigo’s stance.

Following her apparent remark, TikTok users observed that the audio was removed from Trump’s post, with a message now displayed that reads, “this sound isn’t available.” Rodrigo, a vocal liberal and advocate for pro-choice rights, had previously endorsed Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris, in the election. She emphasized the importance of voting in a recent Hollywood Reporter interview, describing her experience in this year’s election: “It’s my first presidential election…It’s a super, super important election.”

Fans flooded TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) in support of Rodrigo’s decision, with many praising her for taking a stand. Some commented on the “clear message” she sent, while others shared that Rodrigo’s actions reinforced her political views. Though Rodrigo has yet to make an official statement on the incident, the quick removal of her song underscores her stance against its use in Trump’s social media content.
