'Nahang Group offers Rs125b for PIA'

KARACHI:
An overseas Pakistani group has offered to buy PIA for more than Rs125 billion.
The sources said Al-Nahang Group has sent an e-mail to the aviation minister, privatization minister and defence minister.
The group has made an attractive offer of Rs125 billion for buying the national flag carrier. Besides, the group has also offered to pay Rs250 billion dues of PIA.
The group has also hinted at gradually increasing the salaries of the airlines employees from 30 to 100 per cent, chalking out a robust business plan and incorporating latest planes in its fleet.
