AI expo showcases innovation in S Punjab

Private, public varsities present 80 models, projects

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Technological Advancement Expo in Multan was held on Thursday, drawing thousands of visitors and featuring 80 innovation-based models and projects by students from public and private universities across South Punjab.

The event is aimed to foster creativity in one of the most crucial areas of information technology (IT).

The expo attracted students from universities, colleges, and schools, as well as hundreds of citizens, all eager to witness how student-led innovations are poised to improve quality of life and enhance business processes.

The event was inaugurated by South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Fuad Hashim Rabbani, who was joined by professors, researchers, special secretaries, sponsors, and industrialists. In his address, Rabbani underscored the significance of the expo in paving the way for South Punjab's technological progress.

"The expo will guide South Punjab towards a path of creativity and will be a milestone for future advancements in technology," he said.

He emphasised the transformative power of AI and tech innovations, which are reshaping sectors from healthcare to education and industrial management globally.

Rabbani praised the dedication and hard work of students and educational institutions for their inventive projects.

"You are the pride of South Punjab. Your creativity and innovation lay the foundation for the future of our region and the country," he stated.

He highlighted that the event was organized under the Triple Helix Model, integrating the efforts of the South Punjab Secretariat, educational institutions, and industry representatives.
