Five terrorists killed, four soldiers martyred in South Waziristan: ISPR

In a fierce clash on November 6 in South Waziristan, five militants were killed while four Pakistani soldiers were martyred, the military's media wing reported on Thursday.

The exchange of fire occurred in the Karama area, where security forces engaged heavily armed militants. The effective response from Pakistani troops resulted in the deaths of five terrorists, referred to as Khawarij by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

ISPR identified the fallen soldiers as Naib Subedar Taib Shah (38, District Tank), Lance Naik Gulab Zaman (30, District Karak), Lance Naik Muzammil Mehmood (30, District Karak), and Lance Naik Habibullah (28, District Orakzai), who embraced martyrdom after bravely defending their country.

In a statement, ISPR reaffirmed the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism, asserting that these sacrifices only strengthen the nation's resolve.

Following the fire exchange, a sanitisation operation was launched to clear the area of any remaining threats. This operation underscores Pakistan’s ongoing dedication to combating militancy across the region and securing peace in affected areas.
