Singer and rapper Azealia Banks has ignited online criticism after revealing she voted for Donald Trump, despite previously endorsing Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.

On November 6, Banks took to X (formerly Twitter), sharing a photo of a ballot that appeared to show her vote for Trump, just one day after publicly announcing her support for Harris. Her decision comes after a series of statements condemning Trump’s alignment with figures like Elon Musk and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., calling Musk an “overrated Ketamine addict” and opposing his influence in American politics.

Banks initially expressed her decision to back Harris on November 4, noting her intent to block Trump’s political influence. However, her last-minute switch sparked mixed reactions from fans and followers. Many took to social media to express disapproval, with one user remarking, “Are we supposed to be shocked?” Others pointed out that publicly sharing a ballot is illegal in New York, questioning the authenticity of the photo.

This isn’t the first time Banks has changed her political stance. After endorsing Trump in 2023 for his “entertainment value,” she later voiced support for Harris before ultimately voting for Trump. Some fans feel alienated by her shifting loyalties, with one commenter stating, “Great job alienating the only people who were actually still supporting you.” Banks’ vote adds to her complex and often controversial public persona, as she continues to provoke debate with her political choices.
