Rapper Azealia Banks recently criticized Cardi B’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris during a rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Banks voiced her disapproval, calling Cardi’s support for Harris “eye gougingly cringe.” Banks critiqued Cardi’s public persona, describing her “latina shtick” as “forced and not real.” “Sis is from 158th n Broadway. She's a Washington Heights Mami at the core,” Banks wrote, adding that Cardi’s portrayal misrepresents Dominican women, whom she described as “intelligent as hell.”

Banks also brought Nicki Minaj into the conversation, suggesting that both Cardi and Nicki use “ridiculous chickenhead antics” to appear relatable, despite being “SUPER smart and well-spoken.” Banks added, “They deserve each other’s friendship tbh. Just pull a ladies night 2025 alreadyyyy.”

Additionally, Banks questioned the authenticity of both rappers’ past stories, claiming, “I’d bet $1,000 Cardi B’s story about drugging and stealing from men was a lie… Just like Nicki’s story about selling Crack was a fcking lie.” Banks, a graduate of LaGuardia High School, stated, “Us LaGuardia girls… are compleeeeeeeeete fcking NERDS… Like get f*cking real.”

Meanwhile, Cardi addressed the backlash after her November 1 speech in Milwaukee, where she spoke on issues like healthcare, women’s rights, and the economy. Cardi responded to criticism about reading her speech from her phone, explaining, “I’m 32 years old… and I have three kids. My mind be f*cking racing all goddamn day.”

Cardi also reacted to Elon Musk’s comments, after he called her a “puppet.” Cardi defended her background, stating, “I’m a product of welfare, section 8, and poverty,” and challenged Musk, adding, “You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle… PS fix my algorithm.”
