Gunmen rob Easypaisa shop in red zone

Burglars also broke into four homes, escaping with valuables.

A series of alarming incidents unfolded in the federal capital on Wednesday, including an armed robbery in broad daylight behind the Prime Minister's House, a deadly shootout in police custody and a fatal road accident.

The first major incident occurred in the Red Zone, where armed motorcycle riders robbed the owner of an Easypaisa shop in Bari Imam, making off with Rs600,000. In a series of other robberies across the district, thieves targeted citizens, snatching five motorcycles, mobile phones, cash and even a car. Burglars also broke into four homes, escaping with valuables.

In a separate development, Suleman, a suspected bank robber in police custody, was killed by his accomplices while being transferred by the police. According to police, three armed suspects on a motorcycle ambushed the police team near Golra Mor, opening fire. Suleman was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the assailants involved in the shooting.

In another incident, three unidentified motorcyclists managed to escape after firing shots at a police team in the Shams Colony area.
