Actor Barry Keoghan has recently addressed online criticisms regarding his role as a father to his son, Brando, 2, whom he shares with ex-partner Alyson Sandro. In an interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Keoghan explained how increased public attention has led him to limit social media posts featuring his son. “The more attention I’ve gotten lately and the more in the public I’ve become, the less I’ve posted about my child, because I don’t think it’s fair to put my child online," he said.

Although he refrains from frequent posts, Keoghan shared a heartfelt selfie with Brando in August, describing him as "Our wee Brando."

Keoghan addressed public misconceptions about his absence in Brando's life, stating, “I’m not an absent father,” while adding that online speculation “sickens” him. He emphasized that those judging him online have "no indication" of his role as a parent, but he chooses to protect his son from the harsh scrutiny of fame. Keoghan’s recent remarks reflect his commitment to balancing fatherhood with his public career while prioritizing his child’s privacy.
