Trump praises Elon Musk as key ally in election victory speech: 'I love you, Elon'
In a rousing “victory” speech from his West Palm Beach campaign headquarters, former President Donald Trump declared his love for tech mogul Elon Musk, while celebrating a “magnificent victory for the American people.”
Addressing a jubilant crowd, he expressed deep gratitude to his supporters, including Musk and UFC boss Dana White, whom he credited for standing by him throughout this "golden age for America."
Opening to chants of “USA, USA,” Trump praised the “incredible MAGA movement,” stating, “Frankly, I believe this was the greatest political movement of all time,” and adding that it was now poised to reach new heights.
He promised his audience, “Every single day, I will be fighting for you, with every single breath in my body.” He vowed to “fix our borders, and everything,” declaring, “I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that children deserve.”
Trump also announced that Republicans had “taken back control of the Senate,” crediting the MAGA movement for its role in winning several Senate races and possibly retaining control of the House.
He thanked his wife Melania and his family, before introducing JD Vance, who described the victory as “the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America.”
Turning to Musk, Trump recounted watching a SpaceX rocket launch, saying, “That’s why I love you, Elon.”
He also praised Musk’s Starlink technology, used in North Carolina after a recent hurricane, stating, “It saved a lot of lives.” He called for the protection of “super geniuses,” adding, “We don’t have that many of them.”
UFC’s Dana White spoke briefly, calling Trump’s victory “karma” and praising his resilience, saying, “He doesn’t quit. He’s the most resilient, hardworking man I’ve ever met in my life.” Trump resumed his speech by thanking “millions of hardworking Americans,” saying, “This will forever be remembered as the day the American people regained control of their country.”
In his concluding remarks, Trump emphasized unity, stating, “It’s time to put the divisions of the last four years behind us. Success will bring us together.” He closed with, “God bless you, and God bless America.”
