Polio case emerges in Killa Saifullah

A four-year-old child was confirmed to have contracted the virus, according to health sources.

Another polio case has been reported in Balochistan, bringing the province's total to 23 and increasing nationwide count to 46 for 2024.

The latest case was detected in Killa Saifullah district, where a four-year-old child was confirmed to have contracted the virus, according to health sources.

Killa Saifullah has been flagged as a high-risk area, prompting calls for intensified immunization efforts and awareness campaigns to curb the virus's spread. Health officials emphasise that comprehensive vaccination coverage remains critical to achieve polio-free status, especially for vulnerable children.
