11 accused of threatening highway cop

The police filed a case against the accused and started searching for them.

The police registered cases against 11 accused for threatening to kill employees of Highway and Traffic Police and arrested three of them.

Motorway Police Inspector Khalid Mehmood filed a case which stated that they were on patrol on an official vehicle at gate 15 near 411 GB while performing duty on the M3 Samandari Motorway.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Ali son of Anwar Ali, resident of 441 GB Izafi Abadi was unloading animal dung from a cart within the limits of the motorway.

When he was forbidden, he started verbally abusing, left the buffalo and ran away.

After a while, the accused came with his father Anwar Ali, uncle Mazhar, brothers Imran, Abrar, Iftikhar, Waqar and Azhar Abbas and others armed with axes, weapons and sticks, attacked the police party and damaged the official vehicle by pelting stones and fled after snatching money and official documents from the employees. The police filed a case against the accused and started searching for them.

Naeem Aslam, the traffic warden, asked Farhan and other three carriage drivers to remove the carriages from the road, but they threatened him.
