Safa Quetta aims for shiny, happy city
Balochistan Government Spokesman Shahid Rind and Public-Private Partnership Board (PPPB) Chief Dr Faisal Ahmed Khan unveiled plans for the Safa Quetta project, an ambitious initiative set to overhaul the city’s sanitation infrastructure and improve environmental conditions for residents.
The announcement was made during a joint press conference, Shahid Rind highlighted the project’s broad objectives, stating, “Safa Quetta is a transformative step toward creating a cleaner, greener, and more livable city for everyone. We are dedicated to addressing Quetta’s urgent sanitation issues through sustainable, effective solutions.”
He added that the project is about more than just cleaning the streets. “It seeks to inspire communities to take pride in their surroundings and engage in meaningful change.”
Rind noted that the project is designed to foster active participation from the public, emphasizing community pride and ownership of local improvements.
His remarks underscored that the success of the Safa Quetta project relies on a collaborative approach, encouraging residents to play a key role in maintaining a cleaner city.

He further explained that the public-private partnership model allows for greater efficiency and resource management, combining government support with private sector expertise to maximize results. “This collaboration is essential to achieving long-term environmental improvements in Quetta,” Dr. Khan added.
Both officials reiterated that Safa Quetta is a cornerstone of the provincial government’s sustainable development agenda, aimed at ensuring that Quetta’s urban environment meets the needs of its residents while promoting health and well-being across the city.
