Mark Cuban criticizes Trump’s politics but keeps $13.5million Trump tower condo
Billionaire entrepreneur and “Shark Tank” star Mark Cuban has emerged as a vocal critic of Donald Trump in recent years.
However, despite his frequent public clashes with the former president, Cuban has quietly held ownership of a luxurious condo in the Trump International Hotel and Tower on Central Park West for almost 25 years.
Records obtained by The Post reveal that Cuban purchased the 3,700-square-foot condo, located on the 45th floor, in July 2000 for $13.5 million.
The high-end residence boasts expansive views of the Manhattan skyline and Central Park. The four-bedroom, six-bathroom unit epitomizes luxury New York living, featuring a spacious living area with two walls of windows overlooking Central Park, a formal dining room with similar panoramic views, and a private library with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Each bedroom comes with an en suite bath, and the primary suite offers two private bathrooms and east-facing views of Central Park.
Situated at 1 Central Park West, the condo comes with a suite of five-star amenities. Residents of Trump International Hotel and Tower enjoy a 24-hour doorman, concierge service, a health club and spa, a 55-foot heated pool, steam room, sauna, valet parking, and room service from the Michelin-starred Jean-Georges restaurant located in the building.
Despite his disagreements with Trump’s political stances, Cuban seems to prioritize his prime piece of New York real estate. Cuban, who initially supported Trump’s presidential run in 2016, recently shared that his admiration shifted as Trump’s tenure progressed.
“When he first ran, I thought he was the best thing to happen to politics because he wasn’t a typical candidate,” Cuban shared on the “This Past Weekend with Theo Von” podcast.
He added, “whenever you try to get into a conversation about details, it never worked,” but he acknowledged their continued interactions, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. “He asked me to come help during COVID. When he asked me to help about healthcare, I showed up, right, because country over party. And I would do it again if he wins, but I hope he doesn’t.”
Although Cuban publicly backs Vice President Kamala Harris in the current election, he clarified on the podcast that he has not financially contributed to any political campaign since 2001. When contacted by The Post, Cuban declined to comment on his Trump Tower residence.
The condo, purchased through The Radical Revocable Trust under Cuban’s trusteeship, transferred ownership via a deed signed in 2000.
Cuban, primarily based in Dallas, also holds an extensive real estate portfolio spanning California and Florida.
