Either apologise or pay Rs 5 crore as ransom: Salman Khan gets fresh threat

The threat was received through WhatsApp by Police, marking the second time such threat has been made

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly received latest death threat from the infamous Bishnoi gang, demanding either an apology at the Bishnoi community’s temple or a payment of $0.59 million (approximately 5 crores in Indian Rupee).

According to reports from Indian media, Indian Police received a threatening message from an individual claiming to be Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother.

The message warned that if Salman wishes to remain unharmed, he must seek forgiveness at the Bishnoi temple or pay the substantial ransom.

The sender cautioned that refusal would lead to violent consequences, asserting that the gang remains active.

The message was received through WhatsApp by the Indian Police last night, marking the second time such a threat has been made.

Previously, the gang had also demanded $0.27 million ( approximately 2 crores in Indian currency) from the Bollywood star, leading police to arrest a suspect in Mumbai’s Bandra area on 30 October.

Indian Police are currently investigating the origins of the latest message and working to identify those responsible.

A case has been registered at a police station in India, and the authorities are tracing the number from which the threat was issued.

A post by ANI on X revealed that a case against the sender has been registered.

The police stated on social media, "A case is being filed at Worli Police Station concerning the threat to Salman Khan. We are tracing the number from which the message originated."

Salman Khan buys another bulletproof SUV after threats from Bishnoi gang

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been on high alert after several warnings from the gang, prompting him to take additional safety measures, including purchasing a second bulletproof vehicle.

The actor has upgraded his security once again after receiving latest threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the group that recently claimed responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddique in Mumbai.

Salman Khan’s new vehicle, a Nissan Patrol SUV, was imported from Dubai at a cost of approximately $240,000. The SUV is equipped with advanced safety features, including bulletproof protection, and is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine with a four-wheel-drive system. It serves as one of the actor's key defences amid heightened security concerns.

This is the second bulletproof car Salman has imported from Dubai in response to escalating threats from Bishnoi, who has targeted Khan since his involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

The blackbuck, a species considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, has placed the actor in the crosshairs of the imprisoned gangster.

Salman Khan's security has been significantly enhanced in recent months, as authorities remain on high alert following Siddique’s murder. The actor continues to face threats, and his security detail has been expanded to ensure his safety.
