Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli is celebrating his 36th birthday today, November 5, after a year that has tested him on both personal and professional fronts. Known for his stellar consistency, Kohli’s recent performance has left fans and experts divided, especially as he has grappled with form across formats.

Anushka Sharma shared a touching birthday message for her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, as he turned 36 today.

The actress posted a photo on Instagram showing Virat holding their two children, Akaay and Vamika. To keep their children’s faces private, Anushka used heart emojis to cover them. She did not write a caption for the photo, only including a heart emoji and an evil eye symbol to show her love.

This year saw Kohli excel as the top run-scorer in the IPL, but his performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 was rocky until a defining comeback. In a dramatic final against South Africa, Kohli clinched the Player of the Match title, leading India to a victorious finish and giving fans a glimpse of the player they have long admired. Despite this triumph, Kohli’s struggles throughout the tournament underscored a challenging year.

Kohli’s form in red-ball cricket has also raised eyebrows. In the recent Test series against New Zealand, he failed to reach a cumulative 100 runs, adding to concerns about his position in the Indian Test lineup. Although he stepped away from T20 internationals earlier, speculation continues to grow over his future in India’s Test squad.

As the cricketing legend marks another year, his journey reflects the highs and lows of an extraordinary career. Fans will undoubtedly be watching closely as Kohli navigates the road ahead, hopeful for more glimpses of his classic performances.
