'Wedding parties must end by 10pm'

K-P government to close wedding halls early, save energy

PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to close wedding halls by 10 pm to address the energy crisis in the province.

A resolution approving this decision has been passed in the provincial assembly. During an assembly session on Tuesday, government member Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani presented the resolution, stating that due to the country's energy crisis and shortages of electricity and gas, wedding halls should be required to conclude events by 10 pm.

This measure aims not only to help control the energy crisis, but also to prevent people's valuable time from being wasted.

Additionally, deputy commissioners will be responsible for enforcing the 10 pm limit for all types of events in wedding halls. To ensure strict compliance, directives will be issued to the district administration across the province.
