A recent rumor claimed that OTF Jam, a member of Lil Durk’s record label and allegedly a police informant, was shot dead.

The story first appeared on X in a video posted by Lil Rico (@IAmLilRico) early on November 4. “Otf Jam Fatally Shot & Killed….” the post read. The footage also captured a car with broken windows and visible bullet holes as investigators examined the site, suggesting a drive-by shooting.

The 1-minute and 12-second video quickly gained traction, amassing over 216,800 views. It showed an ambulance at a crime scene where a distressed middle-aged man repeatedly shouted, “No” and “Let me go” as he resisted first responders. Shortly after, the ambulance left, with a bike carrying two men following it.

Although the video is authentic, the claim that OTF Jam was killed is false. The victim was actually a New York-based drill rapper named CJ Rilla, as revealed by the original footage shared by the YouTube channel LLN NYC.

Recently, a video circulated online showing law enforcement, first responders, and bystanders at a crime scene. While some users on X claimed it showed the fatal shooting of OTF Jam, this is incorrect and should be clarified.

The original, longer video on LLN NYC’s YouTube channel, uploaded on October 29, shows two middle-aged men—one calling out to someone named “CJ” near an ambulance and another lying on the ground in distress.

It appears the individual inside the ambulance was either unconscious or deceased from the shooting, with family members grieving as officers and medics attempted to console them. After the ambulance departed, the two men followed it on a motorcycle.

The 6-minute and 26-second video on YouTube, with 44,814 views at the time, is titled, “16-Year-Old Drill Rapper CJ Rilla Fatally Shot In Harlem.” The description includes a statement from the NYPD.

“NYPD: On Thursday, October 24, 2024, at approximately 0137 hours, officers responded to a 911 call of a male shot at West 124 Street and Lenox Avenue, within the confines of the 28 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the torso. EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem where he was pronounced deceased,” it read.
