Police arrested two suspects on Sunday for allegedly concealing information related to the murder of Ghaniur Rehman, a Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) football coach. The main suspect has been identified but remains at large.
The body of Ghaniur Rehman, reportedly dead for three days, was found in an apartment on the third floor of a building in Tauheed Commercial Area, DHA Phase V within the remits of Clifton police jurisdiction.
The case was registered on the complaint of the victim's son, Zubair Khan.
Police took into custody two men, identified as Surat Saifur Rehman and Nawab Anar Khan, for allegedly withholding information about Ghaniur Rehman's death.
According to police, a man named Raza, believed to be the primary suspect in the murder, has been traced, and efforts are underway to arrest him.
The detained suspects, reportedly friends of the victim, regularly used the apartment as a gathering spot. Despite having knowledge of the incident, they did not report the grisly discovery to police.
