So much for the tyres imported by someone in Punjab through of course Port of Karachi. These tyres sat idle for months on a lot in Lahore where mosquitoes bred and spread that came with it from Africa. Bugs, insect and rats have been traveling around the world from the day first ship sailed. We must have a fool proof method of watching out and eliminating such spreads. Lesson for all political/admistrative leaders: The life you save by being vigilant and corruption free may be your own or a loved one nearby.
The situation is under control in the Punjab precisely because of the interest and action shown by the province's leadership.
The Punjab Govt may take the Dengue epidemic seriously after the death of a Provincial Secretary. The death of lesser mortals doesn't matter. Platelet Kits should have been made available from day one. Special wards assigned. Funds Released. Proactive Preventive measures taken. But you can't blame them, if they lack the vision.
