PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has sent a letter to the Prime Minister on the deteriorating law and order situation in the province.

Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that the provincial government is not serious about restoring law and order.

"The meeting of the provincial assembly is held only to speak against the army and the federal government. It is the same government which has gathered the terrorists in the province," he said.

Governor was participating as a special guest in the program regarding the sponsorship of squash player Ahsan Ayaz by a private company.

On this occasion, the chief executive of Zakori Group of Industries and the squash player signed a memorandum of understanding.

The governor said, "Did the province ever contact the federal government for peace and order?"

He said that the provincial government has written to the federal government that it wants to buy PIA. If this is not a political game, then it is good, but if there are no funds for universities, then how the provincial government would buy PIA?

He said that the founder of PTI cannot be freed for sit-ins and protests. He said that he went to the peace jirga so that his community would not be let down.

He added that forgetting all political differences he went to the CM House. The uplift of youth and women was the responsibility of the provincial government.

He said that the federal government will provide aid to the victims of the Hayatabad fire incident on his request.

We want the expansion of industries in the province. The provincial government should support the businessmen, he urged.

We want peace in the province; if we promote tourism and other industries, we will not need anything from the federal government.

The provincial government should hand over the playgrounds to us as look at Arbab Niaz Stadium; PSL cannot be held there.

He said that if the provincial government could not take its rights, it is its failure.

We are making a case to fight for provincial rights with the federal government.

In response to a question, he said that when Bushra Bibi reached Peshawar earlier, she did politics, and now, if she is coming again, she has the same purpose.

"When the Chief Minister disappeared, a lot of noise was made claiming that he was arrested. However, he disappeared of his own accord and then came back visiting 12 different districts," he said.

While addressing the ceremony, Governor further said that a private company is providing sponsorship to the squash player under the Prime Minister Youth Program.
