Seven people died and six others were injured in a tragic accident in Chaghurzai Tehsil of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Buner district, when a passenger van plunged into a deep ravine due to brake failure, Express News reported.
The vehicle lost control and fell into the gorge, resulting in the fatalities occurring at the scene.
Rescue 1122 volunteers promptly responded, transporting the victims to the nearby DHQ Hospital for treatment and handling the bodies for necessary legal procedures.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi expressed his condolences over the incident, conveying deep sorrow for the loss of seven lives.
He extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and offered prayers for the deceased's forgiveness and elevation of their ranks.
Additionally, Kundi wished a swift recovery for the injured, hoping for their complete healing.
