Martha Stewart shared a surprising opinion about her neighbor, actor Ryan Reynolds, during her appearance on Bilt Rewards' Rent Free game show in November.

Speaking with Bilt CEO Ankur Jain, Stewart remarked, “He’s not so funny in real life,” adding that Reynolds, known for his comedic roles, is “very serious.” She explained, “He can act funny, but he isn’t funny,” and suggested that Reynolds was probably perceived as humorous due to his on-screen roles.

Stewart, who joined the game show to promote her new cookbook, Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchen, expressed her preferences when asked which celebrities respondents found the most fun to hang out with. Confident her longtime friend Snoop Dogg would top the list, she said she would also choose Brad Pitt and George Clooney over Reynolds. Stewart also acknowledged Taylor Swift, ranking her as a top pick, but clarified, “I was only thinking men. Taylor Swift is lovely.”

Jain expressed surprise at Stewart’s view on Reynolds, who lives nearby with his wife, actress Blake Lively. Stewart admitted, “Maybe he can get to be funny again,” before adding lightheartedly, “I’m going to get in trouble. He’s my neighbor.” Stewart’s latest appearance comes after the release of Martha, a new Netflix documentary directed by R.J. Cutler, which explores her personal and professional life. Speaking at the film’s premiere, she told PEOPLE, “I just hope that everyone gets a few life lessons from the film and understands what’s been going on.”
