Former celebrity bodyguard claims Diddy sought advice on marrying: "Gonna have to be Kim or Cassie"
Diddy’s former bodyguard, Roger Bonds, recently shared that the rapper once sought his advice on whether he should marry Kim Porter or Cassie.
Bonds spoke about this during an interview on Cam Capone News’ YouTube channel on October 30, where he recounted his conversation with Diddy, saying, “He said, it's either gonna have to be Kim or Cassie. What you think I should do, yo? And I was like, I don't know. I said, I think you should go with Kim.”
Explaining his reasoning to Diddy, Bonds said, “The only reason I said that was because she had the kids… I said, oh, man, she got four kids, man. But I said, at the end of the day, you gotta go with who makes you happy.”
Bonds referred to Diddy's relationship with model and actress Kim Porter, with whom he shared four children: Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D'Lila. While three were their biological children, Quincy’s biological father was Al B. Sure!; however, Diddy adopted Quincy after starting a relationship with Kim.
During the podcast, Bonds also discussed reported incidents involving Cassie, describing alleged violent encounters and their consequences.
Reflecting on the aftermath of his conversation with Diddy about whom to marry, Bonds said, “And his dumb ass pocket dialed Cassie. And I remember after that conversation, Cassie saw me, like, a week later, and she said, Bonds, you know I heard you, right? I said, you heard what? I heard that conversation that you and Puff had.”
Bonds continued, adding, “I believe at one point Cassie wants to marry Puff, but Puff doesn't want to marry Cassie.”
Bonds also claimed he had witnessed physical altercations between Combs and Cassie while he was working for the hip-hop star. The interview shed light on alleged behind-the-scenes violent incidents. In response to a question about his first experience witnessing Diddy and Cassie in a physical confrontation, Bonds described a heated scene at a 2009 party where Cassie was talking to another man.
According to Bonds, Combs was angered by Cassie’s interaction with the man, leading to a physical altercation. Bonds reportedly intervened to stop the fight, “He just lost it… grabbed her and punched her, threw her on the floor.”
Witnesses at the party observed the chaotic incident, which Bonds described as tumultuous. Bonds ultimately pulled Diddy away despite the risks, and tensions reportedly remained high during the return to their hotel, even after Bonds had managed to calm things down at the party.
