CNG pumps to remain shut in Dec-Jan
CNG stations across the country will remain closed during December and January, the peak winter months, to ensure uninterrupted natural gas supply to households.
According to sources, gas supply to captive power plants that generate electricity using natural gas will also be suspended during this period, from December 1 to January 31.
According to the Ministry of Petroleum, this decision aims to ensure a continuous supply of natural gas to domestic consumers during the winter months.
The SNGPL has been instructed to issue orders to shut down CNG stations and disconnect their gas connections.
