Punjab road crashes claim 8 lives

At least eight people died, whereas 1,409 were injured in 1332 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of these, 597 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 812 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams.

The majority (77%) involved motorbikes. Furthermore, the analysis showed those 803 drivers, 50 underage drivers, 177 pedestrians, and 437 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes.

The details further reveal that 1417 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 1165 males and 252 females.
